Chalet K

In summer, the region comes alive around the Flumet swimming lake (8km away), which is very popular with families. The swimming pool at the nearby hotel is open during the day to guests of Chalet K, from 15 June to 15 September. Other activities offered in the region include hiking, cycling, paragliding and various water sports.

When you return from your busy day in the Espace Diamant, you can relax around the fire or in the outdoor hot tub, and admire the magnificent views of Mont Charvin and the Aravis mountains.

Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe has a supermarket, a grocery store, a butcher's, a baker's and sports equipment hire shops. For everything else, you can head to Megève, 15km away.

About the property…

This modern three-storey property has plenty of room for up to 10 guests, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, plus a shower next to the sauna.

When you arrive at Chalet K, you can enter through the main hall or, if you have equipment to store, through the ski room. The open-plan living area is filled with light, thanks to the full-height windows and doors which lead to a furnished terrace.

There’s a cosy seating area with a sofa and armchairs around the fireplace. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for your group, as well as a breakfast bar for quick snacks. The dining table occupies one corner of the room, and a second table is set up on the terrace.

The lower floor has two double bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room. The sauna, which has room for six guests, has its own shower and there’s a covered hot tub on a second terrace.

You’ll also find the table football on this floor, and two separate WCs.

Head to the top floor to find two more bedrooms. One is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and WC, and the other is a family room with two single beds and a comfortable double sofa bed. This room also has a Wii games console and a TV, and there’s a separate shower room with WC.

You’ll find a washing machine and dryer in the ski room.

Finally, there is covered parking for one car, and space outside the chalet for two more.

About the area…

Sitting at the heart of the Mont-Blanc, Beaufortain and Aravis mountain ranges, the village of Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a real gem. Discover the popular traditions of Savoie and the history of the Val d'Arly, as well as its culinary heritage. Many farms in the region offer tours to visitors, who can see how the region's delicious cheeses are made.

At the foot of Mont Vorès, which rises to an altitude of 2,070 metres, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is linked to the other resorts in the Val d'Arly (Flumet/Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, Crest-Voland/Cohennoz and Praz-sur-Arly) and the Les Saisies/Hauteluce area. This gives skiers and boarders access to the 192km of slopes and 84 ski lifts of the Espace Diamant. Free, regular shuttle buses connect the valley to the hamlets at higher altitudes, offering a variety of skiing experiences.

In summer, Lake Flumet is a popular spot for families. Go for a swim, try paddleboarding or enjoy a picnic while the children make the most of the playground and skatepark. It is also a prime starting point for exploring the Alpine countryside on foot or by bike, with the renowned Route des Grandes Alpes offering spectacular views.

Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe is a great year-round destination, easily accessible from Lyon and Geneva airports.
